About Us

We are a newly formed non-profit organization in the state of West Virginia.  Our mission is to promote the advancement of education and participation in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) and the Arts by implementing and supporting creative programs that can spark an interest, motivate, and create exposure to both STEM and the Arts in an integrated way. We hope to encourage people of all ages to find their passion and determine the tools and opportunities necessary to chart their paths to accomplishing their life’s work.  Through passion, our paths are made clear – and our paths can change the world.

Our founding Board of Directors include Dr. Mindy Backus, Professor at Marshall University’s College of Education and Professional Development and Director of the Professional Development Schools Partnership at Marshall University; Deana White, B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Kentucky, with 25 plus years in industry including process design and environmental and safety programs, as well as 12 plus years in education and outreach activities; and Ellie White, current Marshall University student double-majoring in Electrical Engineering and Physics, and Co-Director of Open Source Radio Telescopes (OSRT).
